Life in the urban landscape differs from suburbia, a child in the urban setting is forced to confront obstacles most cannot fathom. They are subjected to an environment that is quick fast and unforgiving. Children learn the wrong things,we all suffer as a community. We would all like to see a world where children grow to be more empathetic and respectful for all lives because ALL LIVES MATTER. This where it starts in that "little yellow submarine" or that communal inkwell. This is where  we teach and invest the components necessary in building a foundation of morally minded young learners. We need to guide them to literature that educate, entertain and empowers.
